FAQ

Will the monitor still work if the power goes off?

The system includes battery backup, which has enough capacity to power the unit for several hours. In the event of an AC power failure a report is sent to the web site and if programmed to do so a text message sent indicating the power failure and subsequent AC restoral.

What if the Internet goes down?

In the event of a communication loss, the system will continue to collect data and perform any control functions. When the connection is restored it will send all data to the server. In the event of a complete communication loss, the website will detect that it has not ‘heard from’ the installed unit in a predetermined time and send messages to users alerting them of this possible fault.

What are the costs to run the system?

  • One time equipment cost – depends on options - typically less than $3K
  • PhoenixSentry™ monitoring ( $25-30/ month)
  • Cellular plan – as low as $5.00/ month depending on data plan selected

What if my application is not listed?

Our sales team has seen hundreds of requests for applications not listed including monitoring dynamite storage shacks to providing collection of data from forklift vehicles around the continental US. Even if we haven’t seen it we can probably come up with a solution!

We would like to be able to host the server application on our own company server – is that possible?

For selected customers we can install and configure a version of the server application on the customer site. Please contact us at sales@PhoenixSentry.com for more information
